The Lower Spray Arm Support is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool built-in dishwashers. Attached underneath the wash arms enclosure, this bracket securely anchors the rotating lower spray arm inside the lower dishrack.

Causes of failure involve cracking or stripping of securing clips allowing excessive movement during high-pressure spray cycles. Mineral buildup over time can also obstruct smooth operation.

Symptoms consist of:

  • Detached lower spray arm failing to thoroughly rinse lower rack dishes
  • Abnormal noises and vibrations from mobility during operation
  • Ineffective cleaning even on light soil levels
  • The lower spray arm not rotating or spinning freely during wash cycles

This is a genuine Whirlpool OEM replacement this part is also compatible with Maytag, Jenn-Air and some Kenmore models.

Hello Todd. It sounds like it may be the pump motor assembly. You will need to look and see if there is any debris inside the pump motor causing the noise. If all is clear, you will need to replace the part W10782773. These are easier to do if the dishwasher is uninstalled, but can be done from the inside. It is alot harder from the inside. Hope this helps.

Hello Marty. You will need to remove the lower spray arm and gian access to the impeller assembly WPW10757217. Make sure you clean out all debris and clean the spray arms as well. Check and make sure the impeller is not broke. Hope this helps.

Hello Wayne. Hold the nut on the hub and unscrew the spray arm from it. The chopper assembly and sump chamber is located below the spray arm. Hope this helps.
