Joseph November 16, 2017 for Model Number jenn-air c-301? Is there a main inf switch that controls all 4 burners or is it possible all 4 are bad?...unit is probably 30+years old...thanks
1 Answer Hello Joseph. No, they all have their own switch. There is no main one. You will need to check and make sure you have 240 VAC coming to the unit and the wiring is good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Shannon November 18, 2016 I have a very old Jenn Air Cooktop with a downdraft in the middle of it and a cartridge that holds 2 burners each. One Cartridge on the Left, Downdraft in the middle and Cartridge with 2 burners on the right. I am not sure of the model # since the lable in the downdraft is unreadable. The wires of the Burners in the right cartridge were all burnt and were rewired with new wiring. Now the right front burner knob is turning both burners on at the same time but the back burner knob is not turning on any burner. What would cause one burner switch to turn both of the burners on at the same time? The label on the Downdraft Plenum says 2375/90. I am thinking this cootop is 2375ERS. Would a bad infinite switch cause this issue? The infinite switch says on it 240-112 7036F 7W 74h 15A 240 VAC The back of the cartridge that the burners sit in says 87818 & 87847 To be used only with Jenn Air Range Model # 3800-3875-3890ERS 3350 Watt 240 Volts. Please help.
1 Answer Shannon, With this issue it sounds more likely that when the wiring was replaced something got wired incorrectly causing the one burner switch to turn both burners on like they are both connected to the same switch and nothing being connected to the other switch. Unfortunately due to the age of the unit we would not have any wiring information available to determine this. Read More...
Bruce July 13, 2015 for Model Number CVE3401W I have bought a new switch and a new burner, the two zone one. After lots of exploration with an electrician, it appears the safety/ sensor relay is bad on the new burner. Has anyone experienced this.
1 Answer Bruce, While it is uncommon for the limiter on the burner to be bad on a new part, it is possible that it could be and you would need to get the burner. Read More...

Dick B. March 11, 2014 for Model Number Jenair C101 downdraft cooktop Recently the fan stopped working. When either or both switches are turned on both elements light and the indicator light comes on but the blower does not. When the switches are off and the blower switch is turned on the blower does not come on. Could it be the switches or the blower? Obviously, there is power to the unit.

Blue G. February 09, 2013 for Model Number Jenn Aire C201 I am considering purchasing one or two of your burning element infinite switches, part no. 700855k, for my Jenn Air 201 cook top. The prior switch, purchased locally, lasted one year and one week (planned obsolescence at work), while the second burner switch installed in 2010 has also just gone awry. The original switches lasted over 15 years. Thus I am interested in the warranty is on your switches. Thank you for your attention. Blue G.
