Only P.P. October 14, 2011 for Model Number jec9530adb Only the grey plastic part of this switch is broken. Is there anyway to buy only that itty bitty cheap piece?
1 Answer Hi Only P.P. The control is only one part # W10823734. You can purchase some "Loctite - brand " super glue at a local hardware or the wallmart. Thank You. Read More...

Dave S. August 24, 2011 for Model Number JEC9530ADB Hello, My 2 element burner wont work. However the indicator light that tells you that the burner is still hot is blinking, just blinking. The switch and the 2 element burner was replaced about 18 months ago. I bought the cooktop in 2006. Please advise.
1 Answer Hi Dave. The dual burner has a sensor probe in the middle of it. It has a sensor switch on the end that the contacts have shorted shut. This burner is part # 74008228. Thank you. Read More...
Ron May 13, 2011 for Model Number JEC9536ADS My Jenn Air cooktop (JEC9536ADS) just had the custom control burner stop working. It has 2 elements, outer and inner and they both stopped working at the same time. I thought it was the control, but I hear the unit turning on, but no heat. I think it may be the element. How do I test that? I have the control knob out, but it costs $180 for the control so I would rather know what to replace.
1 Answer Hello Ron! You can test the control kit with a multimeter MA-DM1. Here is a link you can refer to for help with using a multi meter: http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Doug C May 05, 2011 for Model Number JEC9530ADS Sorry, while I was waiting for your answer I did another check on the small sensor that is in the burner and is plugged into the switch. It didn't show any continuity so I had to order a new element because you don't sell the sensors by them selves. Every thing is working okay now, but thanks anyway for your efforts. This info might help if the question comes up again.
Doug C April 30, 2011 for Model Number JEC9530ADS This switch controls a triple ring burner with a heat sensor in it. The switch won't turn on the unit but I can't find any thing wrong with the burner. How do I find out if it is the switch or the burner?
1 Answer Hello Doug! It seems that the switch will need to be replaced. Your part number is W10823734. Thanks. Read More...
