Geof April 30, 2024 On my new Whirlpool #W11120795 infinity switch there are 2 copper colored terminals labeled (P). Which one of these is the correct one to plug into? I know which ones are the L1, L2, H1 & H2 (HC). My appliance is a JennAir C221
3 Answers Geof, the two silver terminals above the copper terminals are both L1 terminals. The copper terminal directly under those will be L2. The next copper terminal will be P. Read More...

Marc November 21, 2022 for Model Number C202 Hello, I have a Jenn-Air stove top model #C202. One burner stays on high all the time and cannot turn off. My thought is to replace the Infinite switch. Do I look for part number 700855K or W11120795. Thank you Mark
1 Answer Hello Marc, the manufacturer has replaced the original burner switches with these, if the shaft has a 'D' shape use 700855K, if the shaft has "dual flat sides" use W11120795. Read More...
Patrick January 06, 2021 for Model Number C221 Hello I recently bought a replacement switch W11120795 and wired it incorrectly at first and the breaker popped. When I wired it correctly the element and light stay on and will not turn off. I checked the ohm and when the switch is off its OL for H1 & L1, H2 & L2 and H1 & P. When the switch is on its reads 0.6 ohms for each test. Is the switch bad or could if have wired it incorrectly? i'm at a loss and don't want to buy another switch if there is nothing wrong.
1 Answer Patrick, With the element staying on even in the off position, this would be either a miswired switch or a bad switch. There should be a red wire on L2 and a black wire on L1. There would be a purple wire on P and then the other 2 wires to H1 and H2. Read More...
Jerry November 24, 2019 for Model Number jennair 88370-c Both infinite switches are nonfunctional on the cartridge of the stove--they were replaced last year with NEW --both were 700855k-- I was informed that this part was ONLY for the 6" burner but used for both--last week the circuit breaker POPPED I reset and it worked it POPPED again now both burners don't work-so NEW INFINITE SWITCHES and -also could the problem also be that the coils are drawing too much current any help would be appreciated and also price for both >> thank you
1 Answer Jerry, It is possible that the elements are drawing too much current but to test them you would need to check them for resistance. There should be a wattage on the elements and to figure out what the resistance should be to divide the wattage into 57,600 and it should give you the resistance. Read More...
David January 29, 2019 I have the same question as many others: I looked up the P/N for the switch (INF-240P-871) from my Jenn-Air cooktop and this W11120795 was listed as the replacement. However, the original has 5 terminals and the replacement has 6. Yes, the original has two double-lugs. There are no identifying marks on the terminals, but the wires are color coded. Any chance I can use the new switches, or do I need to order something different?
1 Answer David, it may be possible that there are different switches specified for your unit. Using the model number to find the parts diagram is the best way to find what parts are specified for your appliance. If you could add the model number to a new inquiry, that would allow us to assist you with finding the most accurate information. Read More...
Joe August 02, 2018 for Model Number 62922113 One of the switches on my old Jenn-Air cooktop (model 62922113) failed in Feb. The switch part number was 203147. At the time, my research suggested that Whirlpool part 700855K was the correct replacement part. I bought that part and it seemed to be correct - the stem fit the knob properly and the burner worked correctly. But that 700855K switch only lasted 5 months and is now no longer working correctly - burner goes to High regardless of the setting. My question is whether 700855K is the correct replacement and I just got a lemon, or did it fail so soon because it's not the correct replacement?
1 Answer Joe, The switch you need is part # W11120795.Apparently that part was not compatible. Read More...
Tom Kane March 25, 2018 for Model Number Jenn Air C200 Your helpful online person Sharon helped me pick out the right part. And the pictures you show online look just like the part in my old stove that I want to replace. BUT the part that arrives is very different. New part has 6 terminals - old part 5. New part has recessed terminals - old part they stick out. So I figure that you guy are messed up and I buy from Amazon. Same exact problem with the part they ship me! Has Robertshaw changed its design and not told anyone? OK if they do - but let me know, and give me instructions so I can figure out which connections go where!
1 Answer Tom, It sounds like you may be getting the wrong part in the box as there should only be 5 terminals on the switch. Read More...
