The Infinite Switch is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool ranges. It is the interface switch positioned at the control panel that allows users to select cooking functions and power levels. Precise operation is crucial for an intuitive user experience. Measures 1.85 inches in height and 6.55 inches in width.

Causes of a bad switch can include components wearing out from heavy use over time, water damage compromising electronic components, or accidental impacts.

Symptoms include:

Jerry for Model Number jennair 88370-c

Both infinite switches are nonfunctional on the cartridge of the stove--they were replaced last year with NEW --both were 700855k-- I was informed that this part was ONLY for the 6" burner but used for both--last week the circuit breaker POPPED I reset and it worked it POPPED again now both burners don't work-so NEW INFINITE SWITCHES and -also could the problem also be that the coils are drawing too much current any help would be appreciated and also price for both >> thank you

Jerry, It is possible that the elements are drawing too much current but to test them you would need to check them for resistance. There should be a wattage on the elements and to figure out what the resistance should be to divide the wattage into 57,600 and it should give you the resistance.
