This infinite switch controls variable heat levels for 8" and 9" electric cooktop surface elements, restoring smooth temperature selection and reliable burner cycling. Ideal when a burner doesn't respond or fails to hold a chosen setting. What it does:

  • Selects and maintains continuous heat levels for a single surface element so the burner can cycle between power settings.
  • Replaces a switch that causes a burner to not turn on, not change settings, or only operate at one heat level.
  • Works with standard 8" and 9" surface elements used on many electric ranges and cooktops.
  • Interfaces with the element terminals and range wiring to control current to the burner.
What's included: One infinite switch assembly. Install notes:
  • Disconnect electrical power to the range at the breaker before starting any repair.
  • Access typically requires removing the cooktop or control panel; retain all mounting hardware and note wire locations before disconnecting.
  • Ensure terminal connections are tight and insulated; replace any damaged wiring or connectors.
