Hello Paul, terminals "RD" and "BU" should read continuity and "WH" and "PU" should give you a resistance reading. Thanks!

Elizabeth for Model Number MDG4000BWW

Maytag Neptune Dryer-gas, only provides heat on timed cycle, no heat on the other cycles. I have cleaned lint tray, all vents leading out of dryer and out of house, vent blows air strong, I have replaced the moisture sensor, replaced cycling thermostat (tested the old one with volt meter and it is fine), tested dryer thermal fuse with volt meter-it is fine. I can hear the timer working and advancing the dial knob, I am not sure what to do at this point? Please help!

Elizabeth,

This issue would most likely be caused by the timer not making contact for the heat circuit since it works during the timed but not on the other cycles.

Mark, You most likely have a problem in the Dryness Display Board 33002400 (it is no longer available) but first check and make sure you have a grounded, polarized 120 VAC outlet, Then check and make sure you have a neutral and power to the display board check for 120 VAC across the orange wire pin1 and white wire pin3 on the display board connection with the dryer running. Then check for 120 VAC across the orange wire pin1 and brown wire pin2 you should also read 120 VAC and the timer should advance. The display board controls the neutral circuit to the timer motor in all settings. If there is no neutral circuit to the timer, it wont advance or shut off at the end of the cycle. Be careful conducting the voltage checks, you don't want to short anything out or hurt yourself with a shock.

Hi Tom. Correct, the cycling thermostat part # WP3387137 is stuck. You also need to change the hi-limit since it is now over working doing the cycling thermostats job. It is part # WP303396. Thank You.

Hello Brian. If the dryer does not stop in timer dry as well, and is drying properly, then the timer WP33001730 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
