Retired In Tx July 11, 2021 for Model Number WMH3205XVS2 Do I have to discharge the capacitor before removing/testing any of the door switches?
1 Answer Retired, When testing or replacing the door switches, it is not necessary to discharge the capacitor and you would just need to remove power from the unit. The only time the capacitor will be required to be discharged will be if the transformer, diode, capacitor or magnetron is needing to be tested or replaced. Read More...
Steve September 19, 2018 for Model Number Kems308sss02 Hi I have the kitchenaid model kems308sss02 microwave oven and it seems that it runs but doesn't get hot. If I use convection it gets hot. The one door switch won't push in . I am only seeing two switches on microwave but when looking for switches web sites say there are 3 switches. The switch is on the right hand side if looking straight at it. Can you please help me clarify and tell me what switch I need. Thank you for your time and hopefully your help Best reguards, Steve
1 Answer Steve, All three switches are the same part number but have 3 connectors. If replacing pay special attention to how and which terminal the wire goes to [photos]. Switches are located inside the cabinet on both sides where your door closures go into the face. Read More...
Glenda April 12, 2017 for Model Number mmv4203ww3 When the door is shut it tells you to shut the door. Do I need a switch for the door?
1 Answer Hello Glenda. You model uses 3 different switches. You will need to use a multi-meter to test those switches and see which one is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Dan March 13, 2014 for Model Number mmv6180wb-1 The door was shut too hard. I had to replace the fuse but it kept blowing. I replaced the lower door switch everything seemed fine until I opened and closed the door I ended up replacing one of the top door switches and now the interior light stays on and it tells me to close door when it already is. Is there a door sensor I may need to replace?
1 Answer Hello Dan, If adjusting the door switch support assembly is adjusted properly, the door switches will have to be replaced to correct this issue. W10211974, W10269458 and W10211972 are the three part numbers. You shouldn't have to replace the one you have already replaced. There is no door sensor. Read More...
