Robin October 19, 2011 for Model Number WFW8300SW I have a Digital Multimeter and need to check the terminal pin's on Door Latch for Ohm's (aka Resistance) but the Service Manual doesn't mention the number of Ohm's that it should read. Therefore, can you tell me which terminal pin's to check on the Door Latch while deactivated (or activated) and what range of Ohm's that I should receive on my Multimeter?

1 Answer Hello Lou. Open the door and remove the clamp holding the boot in place. You can use an ice pick to remove the clamp from the boot. Be careful not to make a hole in the boot. Once the clamp is removed, you will pull the boot off the lip of the front panel to remove the boot. Now you can access and replace the latch assembly WPW10253483. Reinstall in reverse order. Sean June 04, 2011 for Model Number WFW8410SW01 I start a cycle and press start... the door locks, then nothing. No error codes or anything. When i get tired of waiting i press "Cancel" once, twice, doesn't matter because i get the same results. "Add Garment" light flashes and nothing else... Just a waiting game until i unplug and try the same over and over. I have tried the Diagnostic Test but it stops right after the "Door Lock" cycle... could it just be the door latch assembly?
1 Answer Hello Sean. Here is what the manufacture recommends when the washer will not start. Make sure the door lock is working properly. If so, you may have a bad control board WPW10679602. Hope this helps. 1. Open and close the door. The door has to be opened between consecutive wash cycles. 2. Check the door switch/lock unit running Drain cycle. 3. If door is locked, drain the unit. Remove lower cover and drain by opening the Pump filter. Release the door as described in the section Manually Unlocking the Door Lock System, see page 8. 4. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 5. Check the resistance of the motor pump. See pages 8. 6. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects. 7. Check all wire harness connections to the CCU are not broken or wires detached and connector’s internal pins are visible. 8. Check all the green wires (ground harnesses system) are not broken or wires detached. 9. Check the two ground switches are pressed correctly by the toe and rear panels. 10. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 11. Check the button/LED assembly by selecting different cycles and changing the modifiers and options available to confirm the button/LED assembly is responding. 12. Steve April 04, 2011 for Model Number WFW8300SW0 WHIRLPOOL DUET F-01 ERROR, I replaced the ccu #ap4434450 and I still have error. I have 12.6u on drain pump. Door clicks and is locked, but I can not run test modes or any cycles. Any thoughts?
