John M November 10, 2015 for Model Number ED5JHAXML00 Fridge not cooling, but freezer is working. Also water dripping to bottom of freezer and making five pound ice cubes that I remove about every three weeks. What could b e causing this?
1 Answer Hello John. You need to check the damper and the evaporator fan motor. It sounds like the fan may be failing and causing the ice to melt and cooling to stop in the fresh food section. Read More...
Jon August 21, 2015 for Model Number GS6SHEXNL00 Freezer stopped cooling. Fan is blowing and nothing obstructing blower in unit everything appears to be operating but not cooling. Please help
1 Answer Jon, You will want to check the compressor to see if it is running. If it is running but not cooling then you will want to pull the cover in the freezer section off. If there is little to no frost pattern then you have a sealed system issue and would need to contact a refrigeration service provider. If the compressor is not running then you may need a start relay. Read More...
Rahim April 13, 2015 for Model Number GD5NVAXWA00 The refrigerator started making a loud noise from the diffuser or air damper. I found that the noise came from the damper opening and shutting really fast for about 10 minutes one day. Then did it again a few days later. A couple of weeks later no cold air was coming from the refrigerator or the freezer. I found that the control board has green lights and the lights inside the refrigerator work. The Evaporator Fan Motor is still running but the condenser fan motor is not running. I ordered a new one with the same results so now I'm not sure how to proceed. I was thinking about replacing the defrost sensor/thermostat or is it the main control board? Any suggestions on why there is no cold air coming from freezer or the refrigerator or why the condenser fan motor not working?
Larry627 April 02, 2015 for Model Number KSRS27ILSS01 First problem was it stopped cooling . Replaced compressor relay being burnt out. After replacing relay freezer was -20 and refrigerator was +25. Replaced both thermistors and control board to no avail. Any help appreciated. Cant think of what the problem could be.
1 Answer Larry, You will want to check the wiring of the unit and make sure that there are not pinched or broken wires. If the wiring all checks ok then the issue would most likely be that the control board that you received that may be defective. Read More...
Rogden34 December 28, 2014 for Model Number 10653859300 The freezer compartment is overly cold but refrigerator section is very warm, 60°F with no air flow into refrigerator. This occurred once before and I turned off the whole unit and after waiting for a few minutes turned it on and the refrigerator was now getting air into it from the diffuser. What would be the most likely part needing replacement?
1 Answer Hello Rogden34, You will need to replace the main control 8201527. This issue is most likely a failing relay on this board. Read More...
