Kevin December 23, 2011 for Model Number eed4400w00 /PART #ap4373392 I have owened this dryer for 16 months. The timer does not shut down after dring clothes. As a self taught repair man. I took timer out and took apart the is not a whole lot to one. I have to say this is the cheapest built unit I have ever taken apart. Is there a upgraded version for this timer it seems to be the only part going out on this model dryer.
1 Answer Hi Kevin. The timer is part # WPW10185970. Make sure the cord at the terminal block is tight and that you use 3-more brass nuts to lock the connections after you snug them. Make sure you are getting 240 vac to each outer 2 legs at the terminal block. then make sure you are getting 120 vac from each outer leg to the center nutral terminal. Thank You. Read More...
Jaime December 21, 2011 for Model Number eed4400wqo Hi. Our dryer is acting wierd. I already replaced new parts like heating element, thermal cut-off,high limit thermostat, dryer cycling thermostat. Because sometimes it dry , sometimes doesnt dry is it possible the timer switch is bad. Thanks.
1 Answer Hi Jamie. Are you getting 120 vac to the red wire at the 2m motor connection from the L-2 of the terminal block ? If so then the wire between these 2 points are good. You need to see if while the motor is running, there is 120 vac coming from the motor to the heating element on the 1m connection (red wire) going to the heater. If it is not or intermittent, the motor is part # 279827. Thank You. Read More...
