Ira, as the fans and compressor are operating, the evaporator can be inspected for a frost pattern. If there is not a frost pattern after 30 minutes of compressor run time, there would be a sealed system failure that would require an EPA-certified technician for repair.

Gregg G, If the timer harness Has a white wire use terminal #1 for the black wire and if the timer harness does not have a white wire use terminal #2 for the black wire.

Kevin, If there is a black wire on the refrigerator harness then the black lead on the timer will go to terminal number 1 and if there is not a black wire on the refrigerator harness then it will go to terminal number 2.

Mick, This unit does not have a defrost timer but uses a defrost control board which is part number WPW10366605. This cannot be modified.
