Hello Michael. It sounds like you may have a loose or broken wire on the unit or a wiring problem. If everything checks out ok, there could be a problem with the timer WP37001240, but first check the wiring on the unit. Also, check the terminal block where the cord connects to the dryer. Hope this helps.

Hi Mike. The timer controls both the on and off of the cycles and the voltage going to the motor for the element . It is part # WP37001240. The heater should ohm out between 8 - 22 ohms with an ohm meter , the element part # WPY503978. You can easily purchase a volt / ohm meter from us. It is part # MA-DM1. On the upper rt. of the element is a thermal fuse which should be closed. If open it is part # WP40113801. ( 0 - ohms ) Thank You.

Sometimes the dryer stops in the middle of the permanent press cycle and needs to be restarted. It doesn't happen all the time.It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Gene, Based on your description, you may have a low voltage problem, check and make sure there's 220 - 240 VAC at the outlet and the terminal block on the back of the dryer. As for parts needs, you'll need to consider a timer WP37001240 if thats where the buzz noise is located. or blocked blower wheel or bad motor WP2200376 if the buzz noise is down low in the cabinet. Hope this will help Good Luck.
