Cary F. July 03, 2015 I need to replace the timer on my Maytag dryer. Unfortunately, the sticker with the model # has been ripped off. In the cover is a wiring diagram with "63721430" written on it. On the timer itself there is: 3310B 7101602165S 3310B MAYTAG 6 3720660 M295 KINGSTON 71016 - A02165 Any ideas which timer I should purchase? Thanks

We unfortunately have no way to look up a part we can guarantee will work on your unit without the model and sometimes the serial number of the unit. Michael June 15, 2015 for Model Number MDE7400AYW I had bought a new timer for my dryer and the timer # is 33002803. After installing the timer I dried a load of clothes and found out that the timer does not advanced on 2 of the three dry positions it only advances in the timed dry mood. But in that mood the wet, damp, dry light does not work. Is the problem in the timer or something else. The model # is MDE7400AYW and the serial # is 19728810CJ.
1 Answer Michael, You have the correct timer installed WP33002803 based on the serial number. now you'll need to check and clean the sensor bar 33001809 inside the drum with alcohol or contact cleaner. Deborah January 17, 2015 for Model Number MDE7400AYW My dryer will not heat. Just had a repairman come by told me it was the timer...$249 to repair. I respectfully declined due to the age of the dryer. In researching the timer, I do not see where this is a fix for no heat. Can this possibly be the fix? He said he checked the thermostat, heating element and thermal fuse and they were all ok. If the timer could be the fix, which one do I need? Serial number is 20443387EE. Thank you!
1 Answer Deborah, Yes, the timer WP33002803 33002803 could be the problem. The timer heater circuit is routed through cam no. 5 in the timer (black to red wires) from the timer to the temp. switch and through the thermostats to the heater element. If the timer contact fails the dryer wouldn't heat.
