Greg March 21, 2018 for Model Number LFA5800W0 My washing machine works fine in all cycles with one exception. After it fills and begins to agitate, it is pumping out water (while agitating). Water is being recycled / comes out the top part of the washer into the tub while agitating. To me, it seems like a valve or something is not closing off the drain pipe. It does completely drain what water is left after it is done agitating. So that confuses me as to whether it could be the pump. Thank you.
1 Answer Greg, For this issue it could be the pump that is issue since this is a suds saver model and has a dual type pump that will recycle or drain. The part number for the pump would be 350367 which unfortunately has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Herman August 21, 2016 for Model Number 110.92273800 When you press in Knob to select wash cycle, you have to be real slow and careful or the dial wont move, it feels like the shaft is not engaged in the timer unit. I don't believe it be the knob slipping on shaft, Wondering if the Timer might be the problem?
1 Answer Hello Herman. Check and make sure it is not the timer knob WP3362624 on the unit. If it is good, then you will need to replace the timer on the unit. Read More...
Mike August 01, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore cc451-0054 washer Hi my washing machine fills with water to the normal level. How ever it wont spin or pump the water back out. when I manually try to run through the cycles it only adds water and the motor never seems to come on. Is this the timer / switch? The motor turns if I push it with my finger so nothing is stuck or holding it. It's like it doesn't get power any more.
1 Answer Mike, The model number listed is not coming up as a valid model number. The first thing that should be checked on the washer would be the lid switch to make sure that it has continuity when the lid is closed. Read More...
Louis T. May 04, 2013 for Model Number Kenmore series 80 washer My washing machine will not stop filling once you start the cycle. I can cycle through and get it to empty out the water but it does this in all the different cycles. It seems like it is getting stuck in the fill mode and will not move to next step. I cannot get it into wash mode directly after the fill cycle. Do you think it is timer or is it something else?? Thanks for the help Louis Tingle
1 Answer Hello Louis T. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit. Read More...
Kathy May 20, 2012 for Model Number 11092281100 My washer will fill with water and agitate but will not do anyting else. It will not advance through the cycles and if I advance it manually it does not drain or spin. Is it most likely the timer or something more.
1 Answer Hello Kathy. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the lid switch assembly 285671 may be bad and need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Dave September 19, 2011 for Model Number 110.92283100 My house was recently hit by lightning. Several electronic devices were damaged. My washing machine does not advance through the wash cycles. I can manually advance through the cycles. The wash, spin, rinse, spin all operate but do not transition from one to the next. The rest of the washer functions appear to operate as well. Water temp, water level are ok. Is the timer the likely part that was damaged by the lightning and needs to be replaced? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Dave. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the timer WP661597 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
