For Whirlpool Transformer (20Va, Light) (Part Number: OEM18042198)

Joe, the buzzing could be coming from any of several parts. The most likely would be the fan motor WPW10730066, but it could just as well be from the left hand transformer WP9760587 or right hand transformer WP9760588. It is recommended that the front plate covering this area is removed and the noise is isolated to a specific location within this cavity to assist with knowing which part could be causing the noise.

Debbie, The light would not go through the transformer. This issue would be caused most likely by a faulty control board on the unit.

Hello Michael. You will need to slide the wall oven out of the wall on the unit. Then you will remove the top access panel on the unit. Once the top access panel is removed, you can access and replace the transformer in the unit.

Sb for Model Number KEBC208KSS04

We have a Kitchenaid Double Convection Oven Model# KEBC208KSS04. After a self clean cycle the oven would no longer turn on. We replaced the Oven Thermal Fuse part# 4456654 (AP3777386), which allowed the oven to turn on and the bottom oven to heat. The top oven was not heating so we replaced the top Thermal Fuse part# 9759242 (AP3879224), and thankfully the top oven is now heating. We just noticed that the oven lights are not turning on, but everything else works great. Will replacing this transformer part# 9760588 (AP3866390) fix that problem?

SB, You will want to test to see if there is 120 vac going into the transformer for the lights. If there is then the transformer is bad and you will need to replace part WP9760588 if there is not then the main control board would need to be replaced.
