Earl November 11, 2014 for Model Number 110.875 72601 Buying a house that has this dryer in place. the control panel has the start button softtouch covering removed exposing circuit board. looks like they were pushing with their finger or something to start dryer.I pluged it in,pushed power button which lit everything up like normal, then set time, heat ect.then pushed exposed start button on circuit board and nothing. Is there away to test this control panel? I know there are 2 control panels on this machine hate to buy the one ($239) to find out the other($243) was defective. Any help much appreciated. Earl
1 Answer Earl, With the start button being exposed, this would be the most likely cause for the unit to not start. The part number that you would want to replace is WP8571916. Also here is the link to our return policy. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/customerservice/returns.aspx Read More...
1 Answer Hello Bret. Sorry, but kenmore does not offer manuals for their units. You will need to remove the power and remove the top panel off the unit. Then remove the screws for the control panel and unsnap it from the cabinet. Now you can access and replace the control board WP8571916 on the unit. These are not to hard to replace, just take your time and make sure you put the wires in the proper location they go into. Read More...
