T H Miller October 18, 2011 for Model Number MEDB200VQ0 The dryer will not start tumbling when the start button is pushed. The "estimated time remaining" screen does not light up either. Is a new control board needed to fix this problem? All the lights light up so electic power is getting to the unit. All the push button controls make clicking noises when pushed in so I believe they are not the problem. Thank you for any help you can give me.
1 Answer Hello T H Miller. Check and make sure the door switch WPW10201785 is good on the unit. It should read closed for continuity with the door closed. If it is good, test the thermal fuse WP3390719 and make sure it reads closed as well. If both are good, and the time does not work, you will need to replace the control board WPW10336133. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
