Billy April 17, 2012 for Model Number KGSA906PSS00 I have a small gas leak at the broiler orifice, when all functions are off. I assume this valve controls this flow and, assuming it is defective, will this be the only reason I would get leakage?
1 Answer Hi Billy. You will need to immediately trip the gas valve top lever to the off position for safety concerns. While replacing the new safety valve, make sure that you use a gas type thread tape (yellow) Or the gas Thermatic brand thread compound at the local hardware store. Make sure the gas tubing is tight. Kevin January 30, 2012 for Model Number kgrs807sss burners will spark and ingnite, oven has AP3886513 and AP3921285, they are not glowing, but oven control shows that it's pre heating fan comes on. Oven neveg gets hot. Broil ElementPart Number: AP3885724 will heat up but no flame on boiler or oven.
1 Answer Hello Kevin. To test the valve, 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Turn off gas supply to range. 3. Remove the storage drawer. NOTE: You can access the gas distribution valve from inside the drawer area. 4. Disconnect the wires from the gas distribution valve terminals. 5. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale. 6. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the indicated gas distribution valve terminals. The meter should indicate as follows: Terminal 1 (red) to terminal 2 (orange) = 216 O ±30. Terminal 2 (orange) to terminal 3 (blue) = 216 O ±30. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Eric November 29, 2011 for Model Number kitchenaid kgsk901sss00 The oven is not heating up. When I disconnect a power for a sec screen shows some code: kitchen aid 30 am16 ui15 eekgo-004. Then when I press broil the burner fires up only for 25 sec, the heating element is not turning red, and burner shuts off,but shows that broil is in progress. To repeat this I have to disconnect a power again for a min or 2, when I press bake nothing is happening. It shows that is preheating fan is circulating but no heat , anybody knows what is wrong ?

1 Answer Brhoades, Based on the diagram you supplied, the gas orifice, is the brass colored fitting on the tube, beside the black colored terminal block. That orifice, is used for the "Bake" burner. If your unit has a "Waist High" or upper broil burner, the orifice is located in the oven, inside the broil burner shutter assembly, you'd need to remove the burner to access it.
