Jeremy February 21, 2020 for Model Number WFW9500TC01 what is the recommended water pressure for this? We have Strong water pressure and we just acquired this unit, used. With the first load it looks like the water inlet valve cracked and was spraying water all over. I know the part to replace (WPW10156253), but i'm concerned that if i replace it, the new one may also be damaged. Again, what is the recommended water pressure for the inlet valve?
1 Answer Jeremy, The water pressure should be between 20 and 120 PSI with 60 psi being ideal for the unit. Read More...
Valentin January 06, 2019 for Model Number WFW9600TA01 WFW9600TA01. The softener is not emptying. Cleaned the holes in the top of the dispenser with a pipe cleaner (even if they did not seem to be clogged). I get an F20 error message very often, though. The water flows in and the washing happens after I unplug and plug it back in. After a few cycles, F20 comes back. Would replacing the valve solve the problem? Thank you!
1 Answer Valentin, I can send you a tech sheet. Find your error code and follow the test procedures. You should be checking the pressure hose and flow meter for proper operation. Check the screens on the valve also to make sure they're not blocked or dirty with calcium. Read More...
Angelo August 14, 2014 I have a Whirlpool Duet washer that keeps giving the F20 code. I went thru some basic checks and nothing appeared to be wrong. I replace the water inlet valve and the machine worked fine for a week or so. I went on vacation for 5 days and when I returned, the F20 code came back. Any ideas on what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Angelo

Kate February 07, 2014 for Model Number WFW9600TW00 When I run a wash no matter what temperature is selected the water is very warm to hot. When I run a cold wash with cold rinse the water is hot with the clothes very warm when I take them out. Both water hoses are hooked up and running water. I understand that there is a certain temperature that the water must be to make the soap wash out, but this seems overly warm. Could there be something wrong with the water inlet valve?
1 Answer Kate, based on the information provided you'll need to replace the water inlet valve part number WPW10156253. Thanks! Read More...

Rick R February 18, 2013 for Model Number WFW9550W00 Water not going into machine. Cleaned screens at inlet, pressure is good. Could this be water valve?
1 Answer Hello Rick, You will want to test for power to the water valve when the unit is calling for water. If there is no power then the issue would be the control board. If there is power then the water valve would need replaced. Read More...
Deb July 09, 2012 for Model Number 11046742700 I was getting a F20 error every time I washed. I replaced the flow meter, but I got the same error code.
1 Answer Hello Deb, The very next thing to try is to disconnect the water supply hoses and check the screens. You see, the water flowing through the flow meter is what the control is seeing. If the screens are stopping up, it may not be spinning the flow meter fast enough and is giving the fault. Then I would go back in and unplug it and re-connect it. Then I would trace the wires back to the control and disconnect and re-connect that end. If this doesn't correct it the control WPW10157912 is the part with the issue. You can call in for an exchange authorization for another new flow meter first if you want to eliminate it as a cause. Read More...
