  • If your model uses a plug-in coil style: remove the drip pan, pull the element straight out of the receptacle, and inspect/replace a heat-damaged receptacle as needed

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bake element burned out   Ron W. • Guntersville , AL • December 03, 2015

Having a very old wall oven,I could not find any parts or manual associated. Chris diligently located a part that would hopefully replace the old element. The old oven did not have the sleeve type connector used for the current elements. The old wiring had a screw attachment. I drilled a small hole at end of new element connector and then screwed the wire and element together like the original. Not difficult but very pleased and it worked fine. Thanks to Chris and ApplianceParts Pros for... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Our oven was turning out underdone baked goods.   Jack H. • Jonesborough , TN • April 03, 2021

The stove is about 19 years old. We had a difficult time getting baked goods to be cooked on the inside as well as outside (bundt cakes especially). I replaced the oven temperature sensor probe, used a digital oven thermometer (as well as the older type) to measure the oven temp. The older, dial thermometer hit and pretty much stayed at the set 350 deg F. The digital one showed a plus/minus 20-degree fluctuation and all seems well. We haven't baked a bundt cake to test, yet, but we will... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bake element was broken   Gerald L. • Fort Worth , TX • May 31, 2016

I turned off the oven at the breaker box. I waited until the element had cooled down and then used a nut driver to remove two screws that hold the element plate to the oven wall. The element can then be pulled out slightly to expose the push on electrical connections. I disconnected the wires leading to the element. I kept the wires from retreating into the back of the oven by securing them with a clothespin each. I then called AppliancepartsPros.com to have them help me choose the correct... Read more
