Mike D Pensacola , FL January 06, 2018 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF431ABP/XAA-0002 Out of balance issue caused by a defective flange/spider on a front loading samsung washer Since the Tub is Stainless Steel and the Spider is an electrically inferior alloy, Galvanic corrosion will inevitably deteriorate the Spider/Flange to the point of failure. My solution was to bead blast and bake on an epoxy coating to the replacement Spider/Flange to minimize the bimetallic corrosion of this electrically inferior alloy since this is what Samsung is still utilizing. I found the video series done by AppliancePartsPros.com especially well crafted and is in fact why I chose to buy the parts needed from them. I was also impressed with the staff interaction when I called to place my order. The parts arrived packed well and on time. I certainly recommend watching the instructional video for your appliance. Ryan M Forestdale , MA April 11, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF511ABR/XAA-0001 Rubber boot was being rubbed by the basket and smoking I opened everything up and saw that the spider are was corroded and cracked, and was causing the basket to settle into the boot when it reached the spin cycle. If you do replace that, you definitely will need the 6 bolts, since all but 1 broke off when trying to loosen them. Now everything works great. Edward S Lusby , MD August 10, 2019 Appliance: Model WF520ABP/XAA 003 Would not complete spin cycle, would add minutes and never spin. Replaced bearings and spider hub. If your washer drum and the white outer plastic drum move independently even the smallest amount, your washer will not start spin cycle because it is unable to balance the load. The washer will attempt to balance by rotating the drum back and forth and add minutes until it gives up . There is a video on YouTube showing the removal and replace steps for the spider and bearings. The bearings are available online but not on this site. I purchased the seal and spider hub on this site. My strong recommendation is to by high performance bearings to replace the OEM KBC bearings. I use NACHI 6306zz, 6307zz. I rate this repair as mid-high difficulty.
