Jeffrey D Clive , IA December 04, 2017 Samsung front load washer would not spin due to unbalanced spin cycle even empty. With all the bouncing around the shocks appeared to be done in but that was not the issue. The key was the balance ring. It had leaked all the fluid out causing all the beads to clump. This caused the drum to wobble wildly and not spin at speed. Getting to the ring to replace it is not a trivial task and took me several hours. Would have been much easier with help as the drum is quite heavy. The on-line video's are very handy and should be watched before attempting this job to save you a lot of extra work. This job is a complete tear down of the entire machine. Once completed, it was most satisfying, to see it work right off the bat. While a lot of work, it was way cheaper than buying a new one or paying someone else to do the repair which would have been close to the cost of a new one. If your adventurous with a bit of mechanical aplitude, this is worth doing to save a ton of money. Ricky F Macclesfield , NC January 03, 2015 Appliance: Model WFD218XNA Broken spider flange I watched your online video. The machine was a different model, but the concept was the same. I also take pictures each time I take something down as a reference for later. Richard P La Mesa , CA July 25, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF350ANW/XAA Balancer assemybly frozen and flange shaft broken The how to video on the website was spot on. Although the video was made for a LG washer and mine was a Samsung, it was very easy to adapt. The step by step process enabled me to fix the machine and save over $700 in repair costs offered by Samsung. I painted the back of the tub and the Flange Shaft assy with epoxy based anti fouling paint to hopefully stop the corrosion that caused it to crack and corrode. Great video and prompt receipt of parts. Definitely will keep Appliance Parts.Com in my favorites list. Adam D Silver Spring , MD September 17, 2019 Appliance: Model WF330ANW/XAA 03 Our Samsung front load washer would not balance during the spin cycle After some research, I determined that I had either a bad balancing ring or more likely a bad drive spider. Out of an abundance of caution, I ordered the drive spider, balancing ring, tub seal, driveshaft seal and new screws for the spider assembly. After watching the excellent Appliance Parts Pro's video (which was 42min long) I did the repair pretty much in line with the video. My assumption was correct that the spider assembly had cracked and failed, it was heavily corroded. I was able to remove four of the six screws without issue but had two fail during their removal. I also replaced the driveshaft seal since it was packed in with gunk and gave me some concern. It was nearly a four-hour job all done, and I'm an experienced mechanic/technician. All parts were Samsung OE and were delivered in time in new condition. I did not need the balancing ring, four screws or the tub seal so I will return those items.
