Samsung DA63-06410A Refrigerator Hinge Pin Grommet OEM Part

I removed the door and the hinge assembly from the right side; it turns out the grommet had never been installed and this is what was causing the door to grind down the metal hinge. It was remarkably easy to replace and my door is working perfectly!

After discovering that our leaking fridge was caused by a plastic water storage tank I went on the hunt to find a replacement. Sadly there is no replacement available instead you have to purchase the entire filter tank assembly. Since I only needed the tank I carefully took apart the new unit and removed the tank. The biggest hassle is making sure you go slow so you can remove the front of the housing. Then the right side of covers the tank, pump and lines. The lines are the easiest to remove and are just held on by press on fittings. Push up on the collar and the line will come loose. The new tank went in without any hassle. Installed the new filter and it was back to normal. Overall took longer getting the parts then getting the new unit installed.

Ordered door hinge and grommet, did not need to order a grommet, one came with the hinge. Watched the video on how to take the door off, my refrigerator was a little different than the video but I figured it out. I am a 72-year-old female, the video was very helpful.
