Fix a refrigerator that stopped making ice with this ice maker assembly. Common repair for no ice production. Easy 15-20 minute DIY installation.
Tl;dr: Watch the repair video FIRST. This will take you less than 15m if you do watch the video. You need to remove a door panel, you can't directly replace the icemaker. Even without doing that, it took me less than 30 minutes. 4 screws, a panel removal, a couple of computer-style power plugs, and you'll have ice again no problem. Stupid easy. Ice maker not ejecting cubes or stopped making ice? This complete assembly restores full ice production. Simple 10-minute DIY fix with just a screwdriver.
Replaced the entire ice making unit. It was a very simple project. The original ice maker is held in place by two screws at the front and some tabs in the back. Removing the screws allowed the unit to come free from the tabs and drop down. We simply released the wiring clip, removed the broken unit and reversed the process.
