Karyn S Marengo , IL December 19, 2017 Someone did not know that the freezer handle had to be pulled up to open drawer. They ripped the screws right thru the cap handle when they tried to use brute force to pull it open. I looked at the blow up drawing to figure out what parts I might need. I then watched a you tube video to see how to take the handle off. I kind of figured out on my own how to remove the ruined cap handle. It took me a few minutes to figure it out and more time to remove both the handle and the broken part. Turns out I did not need the spring nor the shaft cap handle. Very proud of myself. Saved a huge amount of money. Only problem was that I could only put in one screw as the previous force used made one of the holes in the freezer handle to large for the screw that fit the cap handle. After receiving the part, I found I had to dismantle the left side of the handle in order to fix the right side that was broken. When I took the left side of the handle off I found the plastic piece that broke on the right side was about to break on the left side also. Having all the details and in advance of another broken handle, I ordered the part, just to have when it breaks. Read More... Replaced the plastic Handle Caps on each end of the handle that hold the handle in place and operated the opening/closing mechanism. Your "How To" videos were GREAT! Read More...
