Christopher H Breckenridge , CO September 15, 2014 Samsung electric range door would not open after cleaning cycle With the help of several You Tube videos I was able to diagnose the problem. Diagnosis was confirmed with the help of a multi-meter. The thermo fuse was dead. I ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros on Wednesday and it arrived via UPS on Friday afternoon. The fuse was very easy to remove and replace and my range was up and running in less than 15 minutes. Local repair service wanted $100 to do the diagnosis plus parts plus a return trip for installation. I got the part from Appliance Parts Pros for less than $5.00 plus shipping. I did the install on my schedule, not theirs. Read More... 64 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Greg M Prior Lake , MN July 10, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Electric Range NE58F9500SS/AA-0000 Front display went dark partway through self cleaning cycle oven door remained locked cooktop was unaffected Used a multimeter and the service guide to determine there was power coming into the range, but no power to either of the circuit boards. This led me to the themal fuse. To test, I broke off one of the tabs on the blown fuse and used it as a temporary splice. Everything started working, so I knew this was the culprit. Replacing the fuse is easy, however clearance is a bit tight with the cooktop in place. If it should fail again, the repair would be less than 15 minutes. I bought 2 to keep a spare on hand. Adam P Wilmington , NC December 11, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Electric Range NE58F9500SS/AA-0000 Control panel wouldn't turn on and door locked after self cleaning Replaced thermal fuse; After performing self-cleaning, oven shut off. My thermal fuse on model# ne58f9500ss, was under the ceramic top. Door was stuck from self-cleaning so I unlatched the metal bar that runs to the door motor in the back of the oven. Needed to do this in order to unscrew faceplate on the front to get the top off. Once top is off, the thermal fuse is easy to replace. Took me a while to figure out how to get top off but project would take <15 minutes next time.
