Scott S Palo Alto , CA April 25, 2014 Samsung washer wasn't getting hot water anymore I found a youtube video about replacing the hot water valve in a Samsung washer. It looked pretty easy. I had been very satisfied with an earlier order from AppliancePartsPros.com, so I ordered this part on Sunday after 9PM, standard delivery, hoping to get the part by the end of the week. I was flabbergasted to receive the part TUESDAY MORNING! Wow! I followed the instructions in the youtube video exactly. It took around 15 minutes, because I was being very careful not to drop screws in the washer or behind it! And it completely fixed my problem. My wife's jaw just dropped. She thinks I worked a miracle! Bottom line: Thanks for the amazing service, AppliancePartsPros, you made me look great! Kendall L Matthews , NC May 22, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF331ANR/XAA-0004 Water leaking into drum or drum filling with water when not in use The Cold Water Inlet Valve had a very good You Tube Video and I followed it. One note of caution, as I chuckled at the guy on the video saying watch for sharp edges, he was correct. When removing one of the lines from the valve, my pliers slipped and my elbow hit the front of the machine(inside edge) and cut my elbow. So after that I draped the edges with towels to avoid that happening. Again the fix was easy and very straight forward from the video. No extra pearls of wisdom here. Total time was about 45 mins from start to back in operation. It probably would be a 30 min job, max but I had a heck of a time with the lines connected to the valve. Greg B Niceville , FL November 29, 2016 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG FRONT LOADER Leaking water inlet valve Diagnosis was the most difficult part of this repair. First I thought the leak might be coming from the area of the electric motor so I pulled the rotor off to examine behind it and found no leak. I should have gone directly to the cold water inlet valve as this was the original source of the leak and I was able to confirm this after pulling off the top cover and exposing the inlet valve. 2 Screws hold the inlet valve to the machine at the back along with removal of 3 hoses and 3 electrical clips. Since I was already back there I decided to replace the hot water inlet valve as well. Had to work the hoses loose with a flat blade screwdriver making sure not to cut or damage the hose. Also replaced the hot and cold water delivery hoses which were long overdue. Since I had the replacement delivery hoses on hand the total cost of the repair was $83 and 1.5 hrs of my time. Saved a bundle of cash and was happy to do this myself. Read More... 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
