How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4204535 / DC62-30314K Washer Water Inlet Valve

The Cold Water Inlet Valve had a very good You Tube Video and I followed it. One note of caution, as I chuckled at the guy on the video saying watch for sharp edges, he was correct. When removing one of the lines from the valve, my pliers slipped and my elbow hit the front of the machine(inside edge) and cut my elbow. So after that I draped the edges with towels to avoid that happening. Again the fix was easy and very straight forward from the video. No extra pearls of wisdom here. Total time was about 45 mins from start to back in operation. It probably would be a 30 min job, max but I had a heck of a time with the lines connected to the valve. 

Replaced hot and cold water inlet valves, solved problem. 

Replaced water inlet valves. 

Diagnosis was the most difficult part of this repair. First I thought the leak might be coming from the area of the electric motor so I pulled the rotor off to examine behind it and found no leak. I should have gone directly to the cold water inlet valve as this was the original source of the leak and I was able to confirm this after pulling off the top cover and exposing the inlet valve. 2 Screws hold the inlet valve to the machine at the back along with removal of 3 hoses and 3 electrical clips. Since I was already back there I decided to replace the hot water inlet valve as well. Had to work the hoses loose with a flat blade screwdriver making sure not to cut or damage the hose. Also replaced the hot and cold water delivery hoses which were long overdue. Since I had the replacement delivery hoses on hand the total cost of the repair was $83 and 1.5 hrs of my time. Saved a bundle of cash and was happy to do this myself. 

Changed the water valves. 

Installed a new water inlet valve, which took care of the problem. New part came in only 2 days, great service. 

I replaced valve with new one ordered from your company, it took a total time of 14 minutes, never felt better about ordering the part on line.The longest part of the job was getting the tools I needed from the garage. 

First replaced the cold water inlet valve which allowed me to wash with cold water. After your inventory was replenished two weeks later I ordered the hot water inlet valve and replaced it. The washer now works fine and the repair was easy to do on a Samsung front loader. 

I am a security/ network technician, but I used YouTube my meter and Appliance Parts Pros tech support and ordered the part a kazamm it works. 

We continually observed a ‘NF’ code on our Samsung WF218ANW/XAA washer at the 16 minute mark of the wash cycle. After cleaning the screens out on the OEM valves and changing the water hoses with no solution, all signs pointed to the fill valves. Since I was opening the washer up and prying it out of the closet where it sits, I replaced both the hot and cold valves. The repair couldn’t be easier and I’m happy to report the problem is solved.
