A replacement electronic control module that manages the appliance's cycle functions and user commands, restoring reliable control and timing when the original module fails. Replaces a faulty control assembly to help return normal operation. What it does:
- Controls cycle timing, power distribution, and signals between sensors and the user interface.
- Replaces a failing control when the appliance won't start, is unresponsive to button presses, or stops mid-cycle.
- Works as the central command board that interprets inputs and runs programmed cycles.

Install notes:
- Disconnect power (and water supply for washers) before attempting any repair.
- Handle the board by its edges and avoid touching components; use anti-static precautions if available.

My 13-year-old GE dishwasher had a burning smell, and the temperature got uncontrollably hot to melt plastic/adhesive parts in the door unit. The service agent at appliancepartspros.com advised me to replace module control ASM.
The unit arrived within a week, and the replacement was easy as I followed the direction from the instruction video on this site. Now I expect to use this dishwasher for another ten years.

My unit would sometimes start. Sometimes not. Reset and start are the same key and either it did nothing or it would drain or it would start.
While the video did match my unit. It was close enough to help. I removed the front per the video and snapped in the new control strip. Fixed in less than 10 minutes with only a manual screwdriver.

Removed front panel about 10 screws total pealed off the old switch's cleaned the glue that secures it to the door, re-glued the new switch's and reinstalled the door. It took a total of maybe 30 minutes.

Googled constant beeping, not starting and was directed to the keypad controller. Ordered it, it was delivered next day. Removed the screws on the door, lifted the old keypad off with a knife since it is just glued on. Cleaned the old glue off with acetone and laid the new strip on. Could not have been easier.
