I determined it was the thermostat, found the model number and Appliance Pros had one they said would work. So, I ordered one and got it in 2 days. Opened the package, read the instructions and 10 minutes later my new food was going to be cool and my water would be ice. I simply removed the two screws securing the control box in place, disconnected the two wiring harnesses and removed the entire assembly from the refrigerator. At the work bench, I then removed the three wires and control knob from the thermostat and popped it out of the control box. I just reversed the procedure to install the new thermostat.

At first, I suspected the evaporator fan motor was going bad, but when I went in to check it out, I found the evaporator coils totally frozen up; the fan was cavitating.
