0f 0f was on the display nothing worked Mitch B. • Layton , UT • August 15, 2015
Since no known error code was on the display I figured it must be the control board. After getting through a fiasco with another website, I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. The control board is located under the freezer and comes out if you remove 1 self-tapping screw. There was no way to tell if the board was dead, but once we got the new one, we connected all the connectors, plugged in the fridge and viola! it worked again.

The whirlpool side by side needed upgrade of control components William M. • Sunnyside , WA • February 06, 2017
The 20 year old unit still serves us well, looks good and has been kept in good repair. The condenser fan had stopped so I removed, cleaned and oiled that motor. The decision was made to make an upgrade to the evaporator motor and control units so that the appliance could reasonably be expected to have extended service life. The Ice maker module had been replaced 7 years ago. I ordered the parts and have made the upgrade for temperature controller and the defrost control. If you are in a...

Order a new defrost timer from ApplianceParts online. I received the parts in a couple of days, installed it and that completely fixed the problem. Thanks ApplianceParts for such fast, efficient service; and for a part that was very reasonably price, not to mention the ease in finding it on your website by using the model number of my fridge. Freezer was cold but refrigerator was warm John H. • Chehalis , WA • July 13, 2015
This issue was with a refrigerator that we acquired with a house we bought. The freezer was cold, making ice well, overall doing great. The refrigerator was not cold however. I had this issue with our own refrigerator in the past, and it was related to the defrost fan not working and the coils freezing up. However this refrigerator's coils had no ice buildup. Doing some searching on the internet I was able to narrow it down to the damper between the freezer and refrigerator not opening...

Frigidaire refrigerator only was not keeping temperature and would stop running thus get too warm Mary H. • Seattle , WA • August 07, 2015
I determined that this was the part to get based on a previous reviewer's post who had a similar problem. I bought the controller, it shipped quickly and I received it two business days later. I followed the instructions of the previous poster and had the device installed in about an hour. The most difficult part or should I say tedious part was unscrewing and then replacing the panel and screwing everything back in. The refrigerator keeps temperature now and turns on periodically as it should.

Frost on the liner at the lower back and warm temp Catherine P. • Southampton , PA • August 05, 2014
Replaced the defrost timer. It was not located where the parts explode suggested in the thermostat control box which is located in the upper right corner of the liner. It was in fact outside the freezer compartment on the back lower left support (when looking at the back of the freezer). It is secured with 2 sheet metal screws with a 1/4 hex head. The manual override dial is visible through a punched hole in that support. Just remove the 2 screws, disconnect the electrical connector. Then...
