Open the left door and remove shelves. Remove the three torx screws from the left side metal rail and remove the rail. Disconnect the wires from the door to the heating element and lift the element off the retaining screws. Reverse the process to install the new heating element. Very simple repair.

I ordered the door hinge cam kit, both the hinge, lower and upper cam. I followed videos found on the web. I would recommend taking the refrigerator door off by removing the upper hinge bracket and lifting the door off the lower hinge. It was much easier to replace the hinge and cam with the door off. One video suggested using Di-electric grease to lubricate the cam surfaces.

Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). My fridge has an ice and water dispenser where the water and electrical lines go through the cams on the left side. Be sure to order the correct parts as the cam holes on the freezer side...
