Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The refrigerator lights on 24/7/365 situation   Adolfo B. • Weston , FL • December 31, 2016

...after our refrigerator stopped working one of these mornings, I googled the symptom and was steered to a page where I was able to determine the possible culprit. To verify it, I left my cel recording inside and saw that the light stayed on. I was then directed to ALLPARTSPRO.COM, and was able to chat with a Rep, and after a short explanation told me to replace just the "push switchs"; so ordered them, plus the "light lens" and "cover", which had all melted for continuous lighting spanning... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Compressor not running.   Eric A. • Canton , MA • December 16, 2017

My freezer and fridge were blowing warm and all my food in there was garbage... Lights and fans all working. Looked up some YouTube videos on what it could be. Bad compressor least likely culprit even though it wasn't running. It wasn't doing that "click whirr" thing if it were trying to start. It just flat out wasn't running. So, check the overload and relay that attach right on the side of the compressor. I did, and I shook them. They jingled like loose change=BAD. Ordered new ones and... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Kenmore side by side 10659292990   Eva R. • Hinckley , OH • June 05, 2015

Our water started to hesitate before dispensing. This happened for about a week and then it stopped dispensing altogether. The ice maker was working, but when I put my ear above the dispenser, I heard no humming when depressed. Searched for a solution and watched some youtube videos and decided to try this part. Worked like a charm. Install was sloppy because I was trying to remove and replace from the back of the cover. In fact, peeling th adhesive off the front was the only way. It looks... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Lg refrigerator compressor would intermittantly hum and shut down but then start normally minutes later   Don C. • Pearland , TX • July 23, 2016

After watching repair videos, I decided I could order the parts needed and do it myself for less than a service call, not to mention the additional cost for parts markup and installation that a service technician would charge. I am very pleased that I did. I ordered the start relay, overload and capacitor with some help from Ilya at customer service to make sure I was getting the correct replacements. Installation was easy. The hardest thing was contorting my body into a position where I could... Read more
