Harness connects spark module to burner igniters on gas ranges. Replace if wires are frayed, cracked, burned, or damaged to restore reliable ignition.
The only issue I had was that I had ordered spark igniters the week prior after watching your repair video which showed the spark igniters with wires attached. When the ignitors arrived, there were no wires, so I ordered this harness which actually fixed the problem with having to open the igniters. I am now trying to return the igniters, but I can't do it without the serial number from my appliance, which I did not use the order the parts, I now have to make a trip back up to my rental unit... This surface burner valve switch mounts on the gas valve stem and signals the spark module when you turn the knob. Replacing a faulty switch restores consistent clicking and reliable ignition on the affected cooktop burner. What it does:
Turned out the little switches on the knob shaft had corroded and were staying on. There was constant continuity showing with an ohm meter. Replacing the switches was very easy (always disconnect power to the unit before servicing).
