A protective plastic or resin shield that covers the microwave's waveguide or other internal components from food splatter and damage. Located on the interior ceiling or side wall of the microwave, it should be replaced if cracked, burned, melted, or shows signs of arcing damage.

The tray was an easy fix as I looked up Kenmore Microwave and ordered the replacement. The light bulb was a little trickier as to replace it you must have a special screwdriver that has a 5-pointed bit with a hole in the middle. This is because nothing else is safely serviceable on the microwave. I unplugged the microwave and moved it to my kitchen table to do the work. I ordered a new motor and rotating ring assembly since the originals had "melted", it was an easy remove the motor, and replace...
