This gray plastic basket holds silverware and small utensils during dishwasher cycles, keeping them separated for thorough cleaning. The basket fits in the bottom rack and prevents utensils from falling through or blocking spray arms. Replace this basket if it's cracked, broken, or missing dividers that keep silverware organized.

Replaced broken part. This was a simple fix. The only complication was that SEARS sent me the WRONG PART THREE TIMES and the first part they sent WAS BROKEN. Note: If no display on the control panel, check the thermal fuse on board first before ordering this part.
I did some research online and figured out that I needed to replace the control module. I tried the other possible solutions first but they did not work. I ordered the part and it arrived in a few days. I had to remove the back panel on the door of the dishwasher with a screwdriver and Torx bit to access the module. Seal included. This sump housing assembly includes a 31-31.5 millimeter hole for the thermistor. If the hole for the thermistor is 32.17 millimeters you will need to order WP8572618.
