This is the small motor assembly that opens and closes the ice chute door on the refrigerator's dispenser. It activates when the dispenser lever is pressed, allowing ice to pass through, and closes afterward to keep cold air from escaping. Replace this part if the ice chute door does not open when dispensing, stays stuck open allowing cold air to leak out, or makes grinding noises during operation.
Used the parts ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com, along with Youtube video from AppliancePartsPros.com to replace the water tube assembly. Suggestions made in that video made the difference in making the repair or not making the repair. Read more
