Replaced switch assembly Read more
This high-limit thermostat (hi-limit switch) is a temperature safety device that stops the heating circuit if the appliance overheats, helping protect the unit and restore proper heat control when replaced. What it does:
The same thing happened about two years ago and when I took off the back cover, the high limit switch was melted and crumbling, so I replaced it and it's worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. We smelled a stinky electrical burning smell a couple of times and then it stopped heating past 250 degrees. Turns out the high limit switch was crumbling again. This time I replaced both the high limit switch and the bottom element and it heats up again like it should to any temperature. One of the... Read more

This fan assembly circulates air through the appliance to support proper cooling and ventilation, restoring airflow and helping the unit maintain even temperatures and efficient operation. What it does:
The seal that goes from side to side was supposed to have a thin hook, the one I got was wider so I took a screwdriver and make the hole in the oven wide enough for the hooks to get in (yes, I cheated! But I knew it before hand). Changed the others seals and ready to go!! Read more
After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver. The only difficulty was that although the cooktop pan appears symmetrical, the screw hole pattern on each side is different. I did... Read more
Unfortunately, despite some dedicated efforts on the part Audrey Patrick and others, the problem was not solved. I replaced the door hinges, liner and gasket, but none of these solved what I believe is a flawed design. Thankfully, AppliancePartsPros generous return policy allowed me to pursue the repair without risking the cost of failure. My thanks to the company and to all those who were involved. Read more

Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new. Reverse the past few steps and re-attach the wires and screw. Simple as that. I also chose to replace the Broiler Element as a... Read more
Turn off power at circuit breaker. Pull oven from wall. Remove trim. Remove side panel. Remove back panel. Remove insulation cover, which is a metal cover very similar to and inside the side panel. Remove old hinge assembly and install new one. Replace panels and trim. All panels and trim are fastened with Phillips head screws. Hinges are fastened with hex bolts, so you need a Phillips head screwdriver and socket set or nut driver. I had one hinge spring broken but replaced both... Read more
