Since the refriigerator is still in the middle of the kitchen, I don't need to tear apart another room. Nevertheless, let me say this, I love my "older"... Read more

The cylinder roller that supports the dryer drum was worn and needed to be replaced. I ordered the idler pulley shaft and associated parts as well since I wasn't sure if these were worn too. Watching the video on the web site gave me a good idea what was involved and where to look. It wasn't my exact model and make but provided sufficient information on what to look for. The parts were exact fits which was a great relief abd the dryer is running like new again! Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dryer making loud noise like the belt was starting to come apart   Douglas M. • Lowell , MA • January 10, 2015

After watching the repair video I opened up the dryer without any problems and found that the belt tension pully bearing failed and the mount arm had an excessive amount play in it. So armed with the part numbers I found here I went down to the local parts store and found that they did not stock the parts but could get them in a week. I went home and ordered them on line and had them the next day. I did vary from the video a bit. I uncliped the motor wire connector and removed the two screws... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Loud noise like jet engine during fast spin   Ping J. • Southborough , MA • June 15, 2021

I suspected the main bearing had worn out, and I was right. It is a difficult job, because I am retired, I had the time. During disassembly, I found the hub had rusted really bad, it needed replacement. I did not buy special tools. The manufacturer repair manual says to use three OEM tools, I made some tools with wood. Simon's video is a big help. Now the washer is quiet, time will tell how good a job I did. This is the first time I opened up a washer, the second time would be much easier. Read more
