Replace your refrigerator door gasket when torn or folded to restore proper sealing. Prevents warm temps and frost buildup. Verify fit by model number.
The gasket was the correct size, but the door style isn't very friendly for replacing the gasket. You have to push the new one into the existing slot and when you take out the old one the slot is too loose for a strong fit that retains the new gasket correctly. Solution, use a good grade of expanding glue, Gorilla Glue, and put a small bead around the backside of the gasket when you replace it. A small amount only. Our washing machine door boot seal was getting moldy and causing odor problems. Cleaning tablets and bleach weren't helping so it was time to be replaced. This is a small white plastic plug that fills the hinge sleeve hole on a refrigerator or freezer door. It covers unused hinge mounting holes to provide a clean, finished appearance, especially after reversing the door swing. Replace this plug if it has cracked, fallen out, or gone missing, leaving an exposed hole in the door.
Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a rubber gasket that seals the connection between the water fill tube and the ice maker assembly inside the freezer compartment.
