The screw is an OEM replacement component for GE dishwashers. It is used to securely fasten parts inside the dishwasher tub assembly.
Causes of a damaged or defective screw usually involve wear from continuous mechanical stresses and vibration during dishwasher usage. Loose parts affect machine balance and performance.
Symptoms of a compromised screw placement include:
- Noises or abnormal sounds coming from inside the tub
- Intermittent error codes related to moving components
- Detached or misaligned spray arms or filters
- Insecure tub fixtures that can be jarred with normal operation
This GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Middle spray arm was not rotating Glenn S. • Holly Springs , NC • February 22, 2015
The replacement of the arm took a total of 3 minutes, all I needed was a nut driver for the easy job, taking the old arm out and putting the new one in, exact replacement , I appreciate you getting the part out as fast as you did. It took an extra day because of the ice storm we had . That was ok. Thanks you .
