Benjamin B Prescott Valley , AZ February 02, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher PDWT480R10SS The ge profile dishwasher wasn't draining even after i cleaned the traps I had clogs before, so I knew this wasn't the case. When I tried the "rinse and hold" setting, the water would fill, but no sound when it tried to drain. I suspected the pump. Searching through YouTube, I found a helpful video for the GE Profile unit. In fact, the video directed me to this site for parts. It seemed simple enough to replace and I verified the part number to order. I pulled out the dishwasher, laid it on it's side, swapped the part, put it back in, and tested. It now works great and saved me $$ in a service call. Robert B Pasco , WA December 17, 2016 Dishwasher would not drain I ordered a new pump from AppliancePartsPros which I received in 2 days. After disconnecting the power I pulled out my dishwasher and layed it on its side. Removed and replaced the pump. Slid the dishwasher back in place and reconnected power and screws holding it in place. Works like a charm. It was really a piece of cake and has functioned flawlessly ever since. Saved at least $200 in repair bills. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
