Oven not heating or preheating slowly? This lower bake element restores even baking when burned out or damaged. DIY-friendly, 5-minute install.
Turned off 40 Amp breaker. Removed shelves from oven. Removed two screws in back panel holding element in place. Slowly pulled element free making sure wires stayed attached and not lost in oven insulation. Removed two wires from old element. Attached wires to new element. Pushed wires back into oven rear wall. Reinstalled the previously removed two screws. Turned on breaker. Total time less than 10 minutes. Read more

This is a 2 man job. There was 6 screws holding the double oven into the cabinet. This oven is over 150 lbs. , and it has to be slide out at least 12 inches to access the side , to reach the brackets to install door springs on. Once the oven is slide out , one man holding so it doesn't tip out and fall, you can use needle nose pliers to attach each spring to brackets and door hinge .
