This plunger switch is the push-style electrical switch that completes a circuit when an actuator is depressed, restoring reliable on/off signaling. Use it to replace a worn or broken plunger switch that causes intermittent or non-responsive operation. What it does:
I pulled the switch out of the oven console and wiggled it until it started working. That only worked for a few days. I ordered the new switch from AppliancePartsPros on Monday. In the mean time, I pulled the switch off and held the wiring harness in place with duct tape. This turned off the light. Two days later, I plugged in the replacement switch, pushed it into the console and the rest is history! Thank you AppliancePartsPros! Read more

I first watched several YouTube videos that detailed all the reasons that an oven door may not close all the way. Inspected the door and oven chassis fully. We did not see any external reason for the door issue, so we decided to replace the door hinges. I ordered them around 12pm one day, and the very next day about the same time, they arrived. The door removal process was detailed in one of the videos, sathe me with the hinges. This was done, the door re-installed, and it now closes completely. Read more
Oven not reaching set temperature or overheating by 10-20 degrees? This range thermostat monitors and regulates heat for consistent baking. 2-hour DIY repair.
Took off the gas burners, propped up the top, took out the old thermostat and wired the new one in. Getting the capillary tube down to the lower oven was a problem. I used a string taped to the old one when I pulled it out, but when I pulled the new one down to the hole in the oven, it would not go in.The hole was straight into the oven, and there was not enough space to turn the long straight bulb to go into the hole. Used a dremal and cut into the outer panel enough to get it turned. Covered... Read more
