Jennair jjw9630cas double oven doors did not close all the way and the light would not go out Wayne W. • East Longmeadow , MA • February 13, 2016
I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. It didn't look like a difficult fix so I ordered four new hinges and four new receptacles, which arrived quickly. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to replace the hinges and it...

The Oven Igniter is an OEM part for Whirlpool ovens. It is responsible for igniting the gas burner to produce heat, which is essential for baking and broiling. The igniter heats up to a high temperature and then sparks to ignite the gas, ensuring that the oven reaches and maintains the desired cooking temperature.
You should replace the oven igniter if it becomes faulty. Causes of a bad igniter can include electrical failures, wear and tear from regular use, or damage from exposure to high temperatures. A malfunctioning igniter can prevent the oven from heating properly or at all.
Symptoms of a bad oven igniter include:
- The oven not heating up or taking longer than usual to reach the desired temperature
- The igniter glowing but failing to ignite the gas burner
- No visible glow from the igniter when the oven is turned on
- The oven producing a clicking sound without igniting
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and some Kenmore models.
This part fixes the following symptoms
-
Little to no heat when broiling
-
Little to no heat when baking

Broiler igniter failed James S. • Winchester , MA • September 26, 2014
Replaced the igniter, Simple but there are several points to remember. TURN THE POWER OFF 1) remove the oven door or you will have a hard time reaching the back of the oven. Mine just lifted off. 2) The igniter tip is fragile put a drop cloth over the oven floor in case you drop it even after it is in its holder. 3) The drop cloth will catch screws too if you drop them so they won't fall into the oven. 4) The cable from the oven is very short even after pulling it out from the hole at the back....

My son searched the internet for replacement hinges. Found them at Appliance Parts Pros.com. The stove is approximately 18 years old, so imagine my surprise! The parts were delivered 2 days after our order was placed...and arrived on Christmas Eve, in time for dinner. To install, he did have to purchase a single die/tappit thingie to make the screws work. He is so good at this stuff and whatever he did worked!! Guess what? I was able to bake a pineapple upsidedown cake for breakfast on...

Failed spark module Thomas B. • Hillsborough , NJ • October 22, 2018
The spark module for my 1990 Caloric Model RSS398 Natural Gas double oven range stopped functioning. I tried to get the part at a local appliance parts store and was unsuccessful as they said the part was discontinued.
I called the Appliance Parts Pros help line and spoke to an excellent service tech who took the time and made the effort to reference, cross reference, and find a part that was different in configuration, but functionally the same.
The replacement part required modifications...
