This multi-ribbed belt connects the dryer motor to the drum and tumbles clothes during the drying cycle. Replace if the drum doesn't turn, makes squealing noises, or if the belt appears cracked, frayed, or has snapped.
This short drum baffle is one of the interior fins that tumbles clothes as your dryer drum rotates. It helps lift and drop laundry to improve drying efficiency and prevent clothes from bunching together. Replace this baffle if it's broken, loose, or missing, which can cause poor drying performance and clothes that remain damp or wrinkled.
I removed the single screw that held the existing lens in place and removed the lens. I then used an awl to properly line up the new lens in place, since it is in an inconvenient spot inside the dryer drum. Then I taped the lens in place temporarily with blue tape, removed the awl and re-installed the screw and tightened it securely. I finished the job by removing the blue tape. Replaced the Idler Pulley, which I think was the problem, but also replaced the bearing the tub rotates on and the belt while I was going to have the dryer apart anyway (and I used the high Temp Lubricant on the bearing.) Watching the repair video was helpful so I didn't run into any surprises. Read more
