I took the cover off the transmission and determined that the only possible knocking had to be coming from the yoke. Your chat line told me how to fix it, basically I followed their directions. IMO us DIY saved us at least $100. for service call and new gasket. Removed old gasket while new one soaked in tub hot water for 15 minutes. Started at top corner pressing new gasket into slot worked around to the bottom gasket pressed firmly in place. I broke the ice bucket when the problem first started as I kept trying to get the ice out of the dispenser. I replaced the Icemaker Asembly in less than 5 minutes, 1 screw and that was that. Everything works great and my dispenser is back in action. I did have a repair man come out to correctly diagnose the issue as the parts were expensive and I wanted to make sure it was not a leak somewhere, but indeed the mechanism. Disconnect the power to the fridge. First remove the control panel by removing the one screw underneath and then insert a screwdriver into the small square hole underneath in order to pull the lower left of the control panel towards you. You are pulling against a plastic clip and you need to pull fairly hard. Once the lower left clip is free the other three come unclipped fairly easily. I've cleaned the drain tube numerous times. Always freezes and plugs. Added a defrost tab down into drain tube, missing from factory. This time defrost heater bad. Replaced heater, bi-metal switch and temp sensor. Great service and next day receipt of parts. Thanks ! Read more

First, verified that water filter wasn't the problem by removing it and installing bypass plug. Second, verified that water was flowing from supply valve by disconnecting line to automatic water valve and observing flow into a bucket. Third, verified automatic water valve was functioning correctly by connecting supply line directly to automatic water valve.
