This is a small screw, and it is made for dryers, washers, and washer dryer combos. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. Screws are common in these appliances and can cause many difficulties if they become loose, damaged, or missing.A new screw might be needed if there are areas in the appliance that seem off balance or not level. Another way to tell if a new screw is needed is if there are parts in the appliance that are loose or falling off. This is common over many years of normal use as the shaking of washers and dryers can eventually lead to loose screws. Be sure the washer or dryer is completely off before attempting to replace any screws. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually and is compatible with washers, dryers, and washer dryer combos made by General Electric.

Took the dryer apart again and found that the issue was the glides were completely worn down on the bearing. Looked to replace just those, but saw the bearing was too worn to hold them, so got a new one as well (and a new screw as I dropped one and didn't want to take even more of the dryer apart!). Installing new glides (you need 4 of these with a new bearing) and... Read more
