Ordered dishwasher rack tine tips and bottle of vinyl touch up paint. I applied the paint to each tine and then placed the tips on the tines. I waited a few hours before using my dishwasher to allow the paint to dry and allow the tips to stick to the tines. Read more

Although we had a service contract with Sears I elected to take a quick look to see what was wrong. Fix dishwasher overfilling or not filling with water by replacing the float assembly. Common issue with sticky buildup preventing proper operation.
I cleaned all the jet nozzles with a toothpick and a pipe cleaner to remove the hard water deposits. I then replace the ring bearing under the bottom spray wand and the ring bearing under the upper spray wand. I also replaced the smaller radial ring bearing. I followed the suggestion of ordering the door spring bearing given on the ordering page, and since I had not yet pulled out the dishwasher, did not know that it was not used in this older model. Felt seal that fits around your dishwasher's door vent to contain steam and moisture. Replace if you notice condensation or minor leaks during cycles.
Replaced the felt seal and door vent assembly by removing the inside panel of the door and cleaning off the old seal and replacing with the new one.
